In honor of this Sunday's Academy Awards, we present our top five Oscar upsets:

1. "Shakespeare in Love" instead of "Saving Private Ryan" in 1999. A Shakespeare biopic trumps the Spielberg and Hanks power-duo? Oh well, at least Spielberg retaliated with "Jurassic Park III."

2. "Crash" instead of "Brokeback Mountain" for Best Picture in 2006. Everyone thought the epic cowboy romance would prevail. Crash and burn.

3. Three 6 Mafia winning best song for "It's Hard Out Here for a Pimp" in "Hustle and Flow." Best acceptance speech ever? Perhaps.

4. "Dances With Wolves" instead of "Goodfellas" for Best Picture in 1991. Scorsese gets the shaft once again.

5. Roberto Benigni in "Life Is Beautiful" trumps Tom Hanks in "Saving Private Ryan" and jumps on his chair, making everyone present nervous.
