Syracuse University student Matthew Goodman was arrested on an alleged charge of disorderly conduct at about 1:30 a.m. Sunday on 727 S. Crouse Ave., according to a police report.
Police broke up a brewing fight involving several men, and began following them to make sure another incident wouldn't occur, the report stated.
As they followed the crowd, a white car drove by, which caused Goodman to begin challenging the passengers to a fight and screaming obscenities, according to the report.
Goodman's friends restrained him at first, but he broke away and chased the car down the street, the report stated.
After knocking over garbage cans and others on the street, a police officer stopped Goodman, describing him as "very intoxicated," according to the report.
n An unidentified person broke into an apartment at about 10:30 p.m. Saturday on the 200 block of Delaware Street, according to a police report.
The person took 50 DVDs, a Playstation 2 game console, 30 Playstation 2 games and a set of earrings.
A window was found open, which police believe to be how the person entered the apartment.
n An unidentified person broke into a student's car at about 2:30 a.m. Saturday on the 800 block of Ackerman Avenue, according to a police report.
The person smashed the car's vent window, and took the car stereo out of the dashboard, the report stated.
