Cornerback Spence reportedly verbally commits to Syracuse for 2015

Cornerback Andrew Spence from Coral Gables (Fla.) High School verbally committed to Syracuse on Friday, according to multiple reports.

Spence is listed as a 6-foot-1, 190-pound defensive back by Scout.com and is not rated by the site. He verbally commits to the Orange a day after three-star cornerback Davante Davis (Miami, Fla.) decommitted from SU to explore offers from other programs.

In doing so, he joins three-star cornerback Gerland Robinson (Hialeah, Fla.) as the second in the Orange’s Class of 2015, and becomes the eighth player overall. He also considered offers from Alabama Birmingham, South Carolina, South Alabama and Michigan, according to Scout.
