Meetings to discuss Campus Master Plan

Members of the Campus Master Plan Advisory Group and a design firm partnering with the university will host a meeting on Tuesday to answer questions about the master plan.

Sasaki Associates, a Massachusetts-based architecture and design firm, will join members of the advisory group in Hendricks Chapel to discuss findings from a survey that was sent to Syracuse University students, faculty and staff. More than 3,000 people participated in the survey, according to an SU News release.

The meetings will serve as “an opportunity to learn about the findings and how people use and move through campus and the surrounding neighborhood,” according to the release. Times for the meetings are noon–1 p.m. and 4–5 p.m. on Tuesday.

Chancellor Kent Syverud announced the creation of the Campus Master Plan Advisory Group to develop the Campus Master Plan on May 30. The purpose of the plan is to shape, guide and manage the campus environment and its physical form. The plan will also determine issues and goals for selecting campus building sites and establish criteria for developing those sites.
