Long snapper Keller reportedly becomes 23rd verbal commit for Syracuse

Penn Manor (Pennsylvania) High School long snapper Matt Keller verbally committed to Syracuse’s Class of 2015 on Sunday afternoon, Scout.com reported.

The 6-foot, 225-pound Keller made his decision after making his official visit to SU this weekend. His only offer was from the Orange, but he was also receiving interest from Louisville and North Carolina.

Keller is the only long snapper to commit to the current class and will be one of three on next year’s roster, along with Keith Mitsuuchi and walk-on Nathan Hines.

SU now has 23 verbal pledges in its Class of 2015 and three commits in the last two weeks after not receiving one for three months.
