Wardrobe Wedensday: Zelin Shao

Alexis McDonell | The Daily Orange

Zelin Shao wears a white button-down with a soft daisy printed H&M skirt for a look that can be rocked in class or at a more formal occasion.

Simple and fun are two words that Zelin Shao, an undeclared sophomore in the College of Arts and Sciences, uses to describe her style. Looking at her outfit of the day, anyone could easily say that. Although finding a balance between the two is not an easy feat, Shao seems to have mastered that to perfection.

She paired a crisp white Ann Taylor shirt with a soft daisy printed H&M skirt for a sophisticated look with a little bit of whimsy. Adding to her look are a pair of basic black Aldo oxfords and a simply stated Tiffany circle necklace. Shao’s outfit is one that is very versatile — it easily could be worn to class or even to work or an internship.

To get a similar look as Shao’s, pair a more structured top with a softer silhouetted bottom. The mixture of textures will add an extra dimension to your outfit. To keep your look from getting overwhelming, style it with simpler, more classic accessories. Try to keep it simple, but always add a little bit of personality.
