Great article! Lots of excellent insight into a guy many of us know very little about. Sounds like he is going to be an inspiration and carry SU football on his back and across the finish line. Marrone "connects" with our alma mater in a way Greg Robinson never could. Now, let's see if his passion for SU and coaching skills translate into wins.

My son, who is currently a junior in high school, and I made the trip from Colorado to Syracuse where he met Coach Marrone and the SU coaching staff and he was offered a scholarship to play with the Orange. We have visited eight programs and I must say that Coach Marrone and the entire coaching and support staff were the most approachable and inspiring group we have met to date. When I asked Coach Marrone how long he would like to stay, he literally got tears in his eyes and explained his true devotion to Syracuse which this article confirms.
Regardless of where our son ends up, I will be cheering for the Orange and wish nothing but success for Coach Marrone!
