FB | Blown away: Iowa rolls over Syracuse with dominating first half
Abstract:
IOWA CITY, Iowa - Curtis Brinkley summed up Saturday's game with three words: frustrating, embarrassing and disappointing.
A 35-0 loss to Iowa, earmarked by one total Syracuse yard in the first half and 290 yards allowed through the air, and SU fans could probably find a few more words to describe what happened at Kinnick Field....

Absolutely disgraceful. This coaching staff must be replaced. I've watched from afar (Maryland) the past two years and this coach seems lost and disinterested on the sidelines. There's no excuse for a team like SU, with its history, to field a team like this. The recruiting and overall management of this team is horrible. The players reflect the coaching staffs attitude on the field and it will take a major overhall to resurect this program. When you see Mid major programs recruiting and fielding competitive teams, one wonders what these coaches are looking at. I don't think this team could beat many midmajor teams and thats a sorry story considering the history of SU football. These coaches must go and the sooner the better!!!

In Zach Schonbrun's coverage of the Syr/Iowa game he quotes both coach Greg Robinson and quarterback Andrew Robinson. By the end of the story he gives attribution to "Robinson." Which one? I don't know.
As a former Newhouse student and a former newpaer writer, you have attribute the coach as Coach Robinson and/or say "the quarterback said" so we'll know who's talking since the two sources have the same name.

"Obviously there's something in there that isn't going right," Syracuse head coach Greg Robinson said. "That's what we got to continue to evaluate."
I thought the time between last years terrible season and the beginning of this year would be enough time to evaluate. Im not saying that I expected us to suddenly be a great team this year but I, like all Orange fans at least expected improvement of some kind. This is where Robinson is failing.
Im sure he knows that these "baby steps" the team has to take are going to get smaller and smaller the more games we lose. Especially like the last two. Nobody will want to play for such a program and fewer and fewer will want to watch.
I know he came here in a tough situation, but nothing has changed. We need to start looking for somebody else who can improve the program season after season. Not make it worse. Thats why he was hired in the first place.

After last weeks debacle against Washington, Greg Robinson said his team would "play better" this week.
I'm not sure how much more "better" football I can take.
Hey Daryl - maybe that womens hockey thing will work out.
