TWO FOR THE AGES: Syracuse wins 2nd-straight national title in overtime after magical 4th-quarter comeback
Abstract:
FOXBOROUGH, Mass. - Kenny Nims struggled to sift through the sea of television cameras, teammates and abandoned equipment.
His face, a smeared canvas of blood and eye black, welled with tears as he gripped the national championship trophy in his right hand and demanded to see his head coach....

Have not watched an SU lacrosse game in person since 1962, and that was in Archbold Stadium!
But I sure was watching today here in California
as SU rose up to SHUT DOWN the Big Red
machine in OT, looking every bit like the champions they are. WHAT A WIN! They NEVER gave
up, and just when things looked their blackest,
the Orange came shining through with their best
lacrosse win EVER. CONGRATULATIONS... it doesn't
get any better than this!

My wife and I lived in Syracuse in the early 80s when she was a grad student there. And because Hamilton College, my alma mater, was a lacrosse school, I was big into Syracuse lax and have followed it ever since. I still have on tape the 1989 thrilla against Johns Hopkins, and I have to say the final 3 minutes of this championship matches anything from that classic game. Go Orange.
