I'm happy for Fantasia now that she's given birth to a healthy baby daughter. I think it's good she was able to share the news with her coach before the last game. While I think she should have come forward earlier in the season, I also understand why she continued playing not informing anyone. I think the fact she felt the need to hide it from her teammates and coach is clear evidence that SU, along with every college sports program, is in need of a formal policy outlining how pregnancy is to be handled. It would be great if the schools would care about the athletes (and future mothers/fathers) half as much as their win-loss records.

I wish her the best. The baby is beautiful. I went through the same thing. The only difference was I was a senior in high school, worked two jobs, and played basketball the weekend before my son was born. She will do well. Its hard telling people you are pregnant for fear people will turn their backs on you. I hid my pregnancy from my friends and family. They found out the day he was born, healty 7lbs 4oz and 22 inches long. He turned 18 on 10/29...God Bless and much success
