This staff can win can it Mark LeVine?
It kept NY recruits IN NY. yes it was mediocre, but when you only have 7 wins in 3 years, mediocre is pretty damn good. Mitch Browning is a better OC than BWhite and that will be proven come next season. Russ was an awful DC and Robinson - instead of letting him embarrass himself allowed Russ to take the easy way out.
And in case you have been stuck in a hole for the last couple of years, Rutgers is a pretty good team now and they will out-recruit us because they win games. and what other regional competition do we have to compete with? Pitt? we took their #1 recruit when we got Collier. BC? They don't have to recruit CNY because the get the entire east coast.
You are an obviously a fair weather fan and have no idea about what is going on in Syracuse football. go back to your NIT-caliber basketball team.

damn, that was cold (lmao @ NIT)
Anyway the truth be told. The team sucks. What does keeping instate prospects have to do with anything. If your going to recruit....you must recruit the best
It has nothing to do with location. Infact I think the best team would be a mixed group from different regions.
A loser like Robinson can only have a loser mentality of recruiting and im sure the fool Russ realized that and left.

How many other fans does Robinson have up there besides you?
7 wins in three years is not even mediocre it's darn awful.
Keeping recruits in NY? SU used to pull much better players from NJ and from other key recruiting states, when Rutgers was still Rutgers and Syracuse was still Syracuse. Why do they have to reverse their old positions just because Rutgers got better? Are there no regions of the country that support more than one strong football team at the same time?
Rutgers out-recruits us because they've won games the past couple of years? What is our head to head record versus Rutgets Football? Something like 70-9? So, our winning tradition counts for nothing? Wiped out by two or three years of Rutger's superiority? Look at Notre Dame's horrible record last year and know that they have one of the strongest recruiting classes coming in next year.
You call me a fair weather fan and, in the same breath, mock me for supporting our amazing undermanned, but overachieving basketball team, which is on the rise under a proven winning coach?
Maybe you want Rutgers to start overtaking the Basketball program, too? Well...your Coach Robinson has a year to prove nany more than me wrong about his ability to achieve success. As a dedicaetd SU alum and sports fan, I would be very happy to be wrong!

Our national recruiting ranking is in the anemic mediocre range. Rutgers did better than we did in this area. So, we're not meeting that challenge and continue to lose ground to the regional competition.
The sooner we get the upcoming season started and over with, the sooner we can start righting the ship.
