We all need to wish the SU LAX team the best of luck in the NCAA's. Should they win a national championship in this year's tourny, they would restore some of the lost pride our alma mater has suffered as a result of its poor football and mediocre basketball results over the past few years.

Too bad Lacrosse isn't on radar screens of most mainstream sports fans. Nevertheless, a championship is a championship and winning is even more appreciated at a school, which has helped carry the national identity of one particular sport on its back for several years, by virtue of the school's outstanding success.

No question that school's like SU, Johns Hopkins and a handful of others have helped put Lacrosse on the sports map for specialized recognition.
