Rhode Island is 14-1 for the first time since 1947, so that's one early loss that's already respectable. Ohio State was another. So, it is only the smaller margins of victory versus some of the tradtional early season patsies and doormats that offer us much concern. The good news is that the team found a way to win those close games and has matured as a result of those contests. Bring on the Big East.
No doubt we will lose a few games among the elite conference teams. Some of those teams will be "shocked" by us. This is the way it goes for great teams that start out as young developing teams and play their way to their eventual destinies.
I'm just waiting for the pollsters to realize that this year's team has already earned itself a few votes and may be poised to enter the bottom rung of the top 25 teams after another one or two wins. There's just too much talent on thie team to keep them hidden from the college Basketball world.
