Why not release the name of the kid who tackled the suspect? Someone did something good and won't get any kind of recognition for it.

negative attention, I agree the professors should reward the student, esp. considering how over paid they are.
BUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUTTT lets not for get the code of the streets, never tell on your friends and stick up for your family, fear of retaliation maybe ??
once the guy gets out of jail in 3 months for purse snatching. (Be real, how long is he gonna get for purse snatching??? 3-8 months tops? in todays society) so when he gets out he could easy find mr. hero and do whatever he wants. I'd be pissed at the kid who put me in jail for a bit wouldn't you??
unfortunately that IS the reality we live in.
people do suck.

Perhaps the name was not published to prevent retaliation by the arrestee and his friends.

I was walking out the back door of Schaffer years ago to get my bike which was locked to the bike rack. A guy that did not look like a student was holding the bike lock in his hands. I dropped my bag and asked him what he was doing with my bike at which point he took off in a full sprint.
