FB | In order to salvage its season, Syracuse needs these 3 players to step up

Abstract:
Cameron Dantley

As good as the junior quarterback looked against Akron, he was sloppy - at best - against No. 16 Penn State. Dantley went 13-for-32, throwing for 110 yards in the 55-13 Syracuse defeat.

Of course, no Orange player looked very capable against the Nittany Lions....

"dreamy" .. images that are fleeting and blurry .. like what one conjures up while feeling a breeze from an overhead room fan -- just as you fall asleep .. "dreamy" .. NAW ! Syracuse Football is now just a mechanical "promotional happening" .. Not real athletics .. Not competitive .. It's much more akin to a choreographed event that sticks out of AD Daryl Gross' cartoon show .. His career and Ch. Nancy's photo op moments are the real centerpiece .. Let's all be supportive: listen in on the carnival barker's shouts = "get ya tickets here ! hey tickets here ! buy ya kid a nice bright orange 'Cuse jersey here !" THE MOST competitive game of 2008 will be against the Northeastern Huskies.

This alum and many others will groan if the Orange can not really throttle a Div 2A team .. and some may never ever again return to watch if the Orange lose or win "a squeaker." 4 games is enough to get timing, assignments & familiarity down.
