We love the ha'a! Being ex Hawaii residents and graduates of the UH, the ha'a connects us to the pride and cultures of all Hawaii. When Hawaii plays the big games it brings us together..it's like all of US vs. THEM! Geev um!!

For the record, the football team at our local high school here in Euless, Texas, (Trinity High School, 2005 State Champions} adopted the haka as a pre- and post-game ritual several years ago, long before the Univ.of Hawaii. (And the team has never been flagged for unsportsmanlike conduct.) The main impetus for adding this tradition was that our community (and the football team) includes a large number of Pacific Islanders, in particular people from Tonga.
