REALLY?: Division II Le Moyne embarrasses Syracuse in final exhibition tuneup
Abstract:
Andy Rautins sat on his stool in the Syracuse locker room, speaking in a low, somber voice. He and the rest of the Syracuse men's basketball team had just felt the sting of losing to their little brother in town, Division II Le Moyne, at home in the Carrier Dome....

All I will say, is that it is going to be a long, long season for the Orange. People aren't going to admit it but Boeheim running Harris and Devendorf out of the program is going to have a devastating effect for this team. They were both coming back until the end of the tournament in which Boeheim told them not to return. This is Hopkins's team. He has been the coach for the last few years (if you watch the games close enough you can see this), recruiter, mentor and counselor for these players. Boeheim is out of touch with the current game of basketball. He's a great guy but as a coach he does not have it anymore.
Be prepared for a very long year on the hill. Enjoy making the tournament last year because we'll be back there next year. This team is not poised to make a run to the tournament even in a down year for the conference.

Yeah? Really? And I bet you welcomed Robinson with open arms. How'd that work out for you? Sit back down and quit acting like you know better then the professionals.

lol You're a moron. Probably one of those geeks that camps out for games against Albany. I'm done with you form a better argument than you welcomed Robinson with open arms. I'm happy for my friend that plays at LeMoyne. He owned Donte Greene two years and just continues to improve.

Another reason why Daryl Gross should have been fired YEARS ago. If this isn't the epitome of how far our sport's programs have FALLEN, I don't know what is.

Gross was merely an acolyte at USC who thought being the AD at SU would be a stepping-stone to even bigger and better things. I guarantee he can't wait to go to a warmer location and a bigger sports budget school. Well guess what, DG... it ain't gonna happen if the football program keeps losing! The SEC and Big 12 schools aren't gonna be impressed by just lacrosse championships! Enjoy 5 months of snow, Mr. Gross!

I have to agree with Torque, did you see how Lemoyne was running pick and rolls, back door cuts, give and gos for dunks? While SU had no offensive game plan? Jim relies on talent and then sits backs and hopes for the best (see the Melo year). And if this is Mike Hopkins team and he is the Heir Apparent, well that is not going to be good for the Orange for the future. This wasn't some fluke where SU let their guard down, not at least the second half which I watched. The Orange knew they were in trouble and had plenty of time to assert themselves and could not.
