To win Saturday, SU needs to stop Tech's unrelenting punt block scheme
By Michael Becker
It doesn't take more than a third grader to figure out the key to Virginia Tech football's punt rush. The most vaunted special teams weapon in all of college football can be broken down into just one, simple equation. 9-8=1 That's the easy part. It's figuring out how to stop that one extra Hokie player - the speedy "cobra" that blitzes from the wing - that keeps special teams coaches up at night.
Kevin Jones attracts a lot of attention - and loves every bit
By Darryl Slater
On a humid July afternoon, Kevin Jones stands half-naked in front of 1,100 women at Cassell Coliseum, swinging a white Under Armour shirt over his head. He tosses the shirt to a group of women. They swoon. He smiles. He cherishes the attention, the eyes tracing over his rippled torso.

Before the battle for Paul Bunyan's Axe, The Civil War, The Egg Bowl, The Big Game and the Apple Cup, there was a Little Brown Jug. Friday night's game between Minnesota and Michigan marks the 100th anniversary of the Little Brown Jug, the trophy awarded to the winner of games played between the Golden Gophers and the Wolverines.
Orangewomen prepare for crucial weekend conference games after uplifting victory
By Rob Anthes
In eight seconds, the season could've changed. Forget the 7-1 blowout over Binghamton to start the season. Trash the 7-2 start SU had. When Rutgers scored a goal with eight seconds left in double overtime, the Syracuse University women's soccer team could've hung its head.
Dercher brings emotion as SU tries to halt 2-game Big East losing streak this weekend
By Anthony Mague
Many believe it's the only way to describe Kathryn Dercher's passion for volleyball and winning. Last year's senior captain Abby Van Mater qualified it during the Big East season when she placed the word above Dercher's Women's Building locker - emotional.
