Stupidity reigns supreme in courts, Congress, Starbucks, and the NFL
Cheer - The Daily Orange would like to extend a warm and long overdue cheer to stupidity. Yes, the ageless bane of mankind has just claimed its 37 billionth victim. A state Supreme Court judge demanded earlier this week to know what "idiot" it was that granted bail to a three-time convicted burglar who then went on to commit another 17 break-and-enter offenses in two months.

The Tiananmen Square assaults have not ended. On Sunday, three women - mothers of students killed in the 1989 protests - were detained by Chinese intelligence offices for opening packages containing shirts bearing a logo that read, "1989-2004: Tiananmen Mothers.
Letter: Fear of military recruitment irrational
Being one who is opposed to the war in Iraq, and who wouldn't join the military (and yes, I believe these are major motivations for people's positions about on-campus military recruitment), I still don't see what the problem is with on-campus military recruitment ("Military recruitment unacceptable, " March 31, 2004).
