A night after scoring 53 points in just one half, the Syracuse men's basketball team struggled to equal that number in an entire game against Princeton. The Tigers slowed the tempo, yet were unable to steal a win. Syracuse won its Coaches vs. Cancer regional final, 56-45, before 20,176 at the Carrier Dome.

Midway through the second half of last night's Princeton-Bucknell matchup, Princeton's leading returning scorer, senior Judson Wallace, finally scored his first points of the night. Patiently, he stood and sunk two free throws. Wallace's slow, deliberate release was a microcosm of the game, which featured more layups and expired shot clocks than an intramural scrimmage in Archbold Gymnasium.

Staff Report The Syracuse women's basketball team is about to get its own "Bad Girl." Keri Laimbeer, daughter of former Detroit Pistons "Bad Boy" Bill Laimbeer, has committed to play for Syracuse next season. Jenny Eckhart has also committed to play. Laimbeer, from Detroit, is a 6-foot-2 senior and a three-time All-Oakland County honoree, as well as an honorable mention All-Midwest pick by Street & Smith after her junior year.
