Unitarian Universalist student retreats boost more than Eva Baker's spiritual life. In one activity before regular worship, students were instructed to attach Post-it Notes to their backs. Each student then drifted around the room, scribbling kind words about their friends between their shoulder blades. "I still have my piece of paper from a sophomore year retreat," said Baker, president and founder of the Unitarian Universalist Students organization on campus. "I pull it out whenever I'm feeling low."
Twain classic reaches stage in 'Big River'

Even the Girl Scouts love "Big River." Following the opening performance of the Syracuse Stage show last Friday evening, a swarm of Girl Scouts surrounded the lead actors of the show, begging for autographs. And for good reason. The show, which sets Mark Twain's classic novel "The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn" to music, has earned skepticism for its attempts to do so, but this production proves that it was a worthwhile endeavor.
Zamboni turns to dark humor in latest show

Improvisational comedy has turned to the dark side - of humor. Zamboni Revolution, the Syracuse University student improvisation comedy troupe, entertained a packed audience at Panasci Lounge Friday night with newly acquired black humor that made its show more twisted and funnier than its previous performances.

Facebook Cantor apparently loves Bruce Springsteen, Billy Joel and "light classic rock," enjoys the movies "Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory" and "Lean on Me" and takes interest in "exploring the Soul of Syracuse.
