Members of the Syracuse University lacrosse team will be getting some extra help next January from those who have been in their shoes. Alumni from the team will mentor current players this coming January in a program that, if successful, may expand to other athletic teams.
Law school merchandise missing
Staff Reports Syracuse police officers arrested four people for scalping tickets at about 5 p.m. Saturday at the Carrier Dome, according to a Syracuse police report. Syracuse police observed two men in possession and offering tickets for sale within 1,000 feet of the Carrier Dome during the SU vs.
UU Cinemas to restart with free screenings

Less than a week after it was discovered that University Union Cinemas had wasted an estimated $9,000 in student fees, the organization will hold free movie screenings starting Wednesday night. UU Cinemas will show "Eight Crazy Nights," "Garden State," "Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow" and "Dick Tracy" through Sunday afternoon.
Emergency vehicles block College Place

With lights flashing and sirens blazing, four fire trucks and a Syracuse police car descended at about 5:30 p.m. Tuesday on the bus stop on College Place, blocking traffic for about 15 minutes as fire officials checked out the engine of a bus that had been filling with smoke.
