Art exhibit portrays Latin life

Flor Garduno photographs depict wordless definitions of humanity. A selection of the prominent Mexican photographer's latest collection, "Witnesses of Time," is being presented in the Lowe Art Gallery in the Shaffer Art Building until Feb. 13. The assortment of photographs comes from a five-year project which features native people and landscapes from countries such as Mexico, Guatemala, Bolivia and Ecuador.

NBC Pulling through in a time of tragedy, the Peacock rallied together celebrities last Sunday night for "Tsunami Aid - A Concert of Hope." The telethon raised funds for the American Red Cross, and callers spoke to celebrity phone answerers ranging from Uma Thurman to Bruce Willis to a random telemarketer in Wisconsin, while watching musical acts like Maroon 5, Sarah McLachlan, Norah Jones and Lenny Kravitz.
