Frats may regain recognition

After six years of running independently, Alpha Tau Omega will regain Syracuse University's recognition. Associate Dean of Students Roy Baker extended the offer to all three of SU's unrecognized fraternities, ATO, Psi Psi and Pi Kappa Alpha. "Dr. Baker asked all the houses to come back," said ATO president Greg Morel.

Bolanowski loses battle with Still's

After over a decade of research and instruction, a Syracuse University professor in the Department of Biomedical and Chemical Engineering died on January 13. Stanley "Sandy" J. Bolanowski, 54, died while on sabbatical in Nashville, Tenn. of complications from Still's Disease, a form of arthritis.

Geoffrey Seltzer passes away after fight with tissue cancer

Geoffrey Seltzer was more than a geology professor at Syracuse University. He was a scientist, a husband and a friend to many there, said Dr. Donald Siegel, another geology professor in the College of Arts and Science and a friend of Seltzer. Seltzer passed away Jan.

Mason calls for campus-wide meeting

A meeting of representatives from all student organizations hoping to make Syracuse University a better place for students is set to get off the ground. The meeting, organized by Student Association president Travis Mason, will focus on the plan to create the SU Student Organizational Council, expectations student organizations have for the SA, expectations SA has for student organizations and SA priorities for the semester.
