Pryor, a thrower, has circled between Ithaca, State College, Pa., and Champaign, Ill., this season. Swimming has always come easy for Syracuse senior Vanessa Martinez. The 21-year-old native of Gurabo, Puerto Rico had a talent that was unmatched in her homeland. In 2002, she was honored by the Puerto Rico Department of Recreation and Sports as the Most Outstanding Female Swimmer for all women aged 19 and younger.
