FBALL| SU defense defeats offense in 1st unveiling under new staff
By Scott Bisang
For many Syracuse football fans, Saturday's annual Spring Game was the first extended chance to see the new head coach. They saw him at halftime of a men's basketball game. They watched him on television ads urging them to buy season tickets. But the place fans really wanted to see Greg Robinson was on the sideline.

By Rob Anthes
A weekend that started with great promise for four Syracuse football players ended with some disappointment for all but one. Adam Terry, the 6-foot-8 offensive tackle, was the only Orange player drafted in this weekend's NFL Draft. Baltimore used the last pick of the second round (64) to select Terry, projected as a second or third round pick.
MLAX| Orange sneaks by improved Great Danes attack, 14-13
By Tim Gorman
If Albany head coach Scott Marr had his way, the game wouldn't have ended. That Albany goal with a little more than two minutes left in the fourth quarter would've counted and, of course, the Great Danes would've found a way to win. Albany sophomore Merrick Thomson thought the ball crossed the line, too.

Many fans came to Saturday afternoon's Spring Game hoping for a glimpse of Syracuse's new West Coast-style offense. One of Lisa Miller's favorite mantras is to play the full 60 minutes of lacrosse. But Friday's game for the Syracuse women's lacrosse team against Rutgers was a rare exception. The game was the first of two in a three-day stretch - the only such weekend for SU this season.

MLAX| Danes' loss a big step for Albany
By Scott Bisang
Senior Albany attackman Luke Daquino took some solace in the Great Danes' 14-13 loss to the Syracuse men's lacrosse team Friday night in the Carrier Dome. Sure, Daquino and his teammates wanted to pull off the biggest upset in the five-year history of Albany lacrosse.
SOFTBALL| Mosch regains form in 10-strikeout performance
By Zach Berman
Courtney Mosch was hooked from Friday's game against Villanova after allowing four runs against five batters. She only converted one out. When Syracuse softball head coach Mary Jo Firnbach called on Mosch to pitch the second game of a doubleheader against Rutgers on Sunday, Mosch just hoped Sunday wouldn't be like Friday.

By Rob Anthes
For the four Syracuse players hailing from New Jersey, a meeting with the Rutgers Scarlet Knights has a little more meaning. So when Caitlyn Dragon, Gaddy Fortune, Allison Furstenburg and Jen Kasel took the Carrier Dome field on Friday, they were out for more than just a Big East win.
Irish downs Syracuse in title game
By Michael Becker
Last week, Syracuse tennis coach Mac Gifford compared a potential match against Notre Dame to the United States' plight against the Soviet Union in hockey in the 1980 Winter Olympics. Too bad Syracuse couldn't live up to the script. The Orange lost to the No.
