BUFFALO - Several Syracuse University students got the opportunity to hear former Secretary of State Gen. Colin Powell speak on the United States' reputation at the University of Buffalo. Powell said in a speech Wednesday night at the UB that he believes the United States' status in the world is still positive and the nation still has many friends worldwide, contrary to what people might see in the media.
Graduate Record Exam undergoes changes

Starting in October, 2006, the Graduate Record Exam will almost double in length and switch to an Internet delivery format. The GRE is required for admission to graduate schools in fields other than business, law and medicine. These include education, journalism and science.
