Comptroller to retire: After 27 years, an internally experienced accountant to take post

After serving as Syracuse University's comptroller for more than 27 years, Bill Patrick made the decision to retire, effective June 30. Rebecca L. Foote, currently the director of financial analysis, will assume the position of comptroller the next day. "I couldn't be happier because it's something he wants to do," said Lou Marcoccia, SU's chief financial officer and executive vice president.
Cantor signs pledge committing SU to reduce greenhouse gas emissions

Syracuse University joined more than 70 other schools in a commitment to reduce greenhouse gas emissions when Chancellor Nancy Cantor signed the American College and University Presidents Climate Commitment during Spring Break. As global warming and greenhouse gases continue to be the subject of national debate, Cantor pledged to reduce greenhouse gas emissions at SU and take a leadership role in the surrounding Syracuse area with the signing.
