Male freshman found dead in DellPlain Residence Hall

A Syracuse University male freshman was found dead in his room on the fourth floor of Dellplain Residence Hall early Wednesday morning, university officials said. An emergency call was made to Public Safety shortly before 8 a.m. Wednesday, said SU spokesman Kevin Morrow.

ABC campus bureau launches after delay

ABC News will launch a Web site for news reported by college students today, and Syracuse University is one of five schools selected to house an ABC News on Campus bureau. The Web site was scheduled to launch in late August, but only some of the southern universities were in session, so it was postponed.
