Immigrant art exhibit paints history with authentic work

The real strength of Bird Library's exhibit "Dawn of a New Age: The Immigrant Contribution to the Arts in America" is not its historical photographs, rare documents or detailed research, but the stories behind the papers and the surprising personal connections that both curators and visitors felt with the work.

SU senior becomes of youngest to anchor ESPN game

One Syracuse University student earned an opportunity that few sports fans get to experience in a lifetime. Senior broadcast journalism and information management and technology major Stephen Andress appeared on ESPN as the play-by-play announcer for the college basketball game between Miami and West Virginia on ESPNU, the branch of ESPN that focuses on college sports, this past December.

During the break I scored a date with a super-hot girl I worked with at a day camp. Excited, I gladly braved the 40-minute commute from my house to the camp to meet her. When I arrived, I ran into my boss. Unaware of my planned rendezvous with my co-worker, she thought I was just visiting the camp.
