Syracuse men's lacrosse capped a 12-2 regular season by earning the No. 3 seed in the NCAA tournament, announced Sunday night. The Orange will play Canisius in the first round of the tournament Sunday at 7:30 in the Carrier Dome (ESPNU). The matchup will be the first ever between the two schools.

A Syracuse men's lacrosse recruit was charged with second-degree murder Monday, an Ontario police official told The Daily Orange. Kent Owen Hill, also known as Kent Squires-Hill, was arrested and charged with second-degree murder in connection with the strangling death of 21-year-old Tashina General, said Rocki Smith, the Six Nations deputy chief of police.
