POWDER PUFF PANTSINGAfter years of Kappa Kappa Gamma and Delta Gamma meeting each other in the finals of Alpha Chi Rho’s annual Powder Puff philanthropy, the CROW brothers switched up the bracketing of the tournament so that the two would not meet in the finals. Nonetheless, at this past weekend’s event the two houses met again – this time in the semifinals.Early on in the flag football powder-puff matchup, a Kappa sister attempted to tear the flag off a DG sister, but ended grabbing more than she anticipated. She ripped the front of the DG sister’s pants – all the way down to her ankles.’Everyone was just like, ‘Oh my god. They just ripped her pants,” said Shawn Allie, a junior communications and speech rhetoric major. ‘I didn’t get a good enough look, though.’Afterward, the girl donned a pair of shorts in place of her torn pants. According to Allie, over the remainder of the match, the Kappas kept grabbing at her shorts – instead of her flag – when ever she had the ball. And she wasn’t happy about it.Still, the game continued on, with no real repercussion from DG and no continued attacks from Kappa.’It kind of happened, and then no one said anything about it,’ Allie said. ‘But I didn’t hear any apologies.’DG ended up winning the game, 7-0, in double overtime, and also went on to beat Alpha Xi Delta in the finals, giving them their second powder-puff championship in as many years. But who was the last winner before DG’s current streak? You guessed it: Kappa Kappa Gamma.

THIS AND THATA local sorority got into a food fight with a local fraternity this past week. Using mustard, ketchup, syrup and toilet paper, the sisters attacked the fraternity house. Apparently, the animosity stemmed from a competition the two houses had held at a local bar … Two unidentified girls stole a seven-foot field goal post from a local fraternity. Getting it wasn’t that hard – but keeping something that large hidden almost certainly will be … Many Daily Orange alumni were on campus this weekend to participate in DO Palooza 2004. While many headed to Chuck’s Caf for drinks after the festivities, three alums made their way to the attic of a Livingston Avenue apartment where they showed off their beer pong skill. That prowess, however, did not carry over to flip-cup, another popular drinking game.
