University Union announced Friday that hip-hop artist Aaron May will headline this year’s Bandersnatch concert on Saturday, Nov. 11 in the Schine Underground in collaboration with Lambda Sigma Upsilon Latino Fraternity. Syracuse University student artists WAFFLE VAFLYA and Valantonio will also take the stage.

Raised in Houston, May released his debut music video “Ride,” which now has over half a million views on Youtube, in Nov. 2018. Over the last four years, May has been working on producing a string of hit singles, directing his music videos and funding his marketing efforts. He also has been working with smaller artists on his Houston-centric label MOVEINTHEAM.

SU students Olisa Tasie-Amadi, Emil Barynhnikov and Alvin Chan will perform at Bandersnatch as WAFFLE VAFLYA. The group combines elements of house music and psychedelic bass-heavy disco tracks to create a fun environment for the audience.

Antonio Cruz, also known as Valantonio, is a senior Bandier student from New Jersey. His music focuses on underground rap genres like PlugginB, which combines elements of hip-hop, rap and EDM. As a DJ, Cruz likes to play UK House music, Jersey club and club techno.

SU and SUNY ESF students, faculty and staff can purchase tickets for $10.
